REX’s core belief is that diverse collaborations lead to creating innovative and inspiring art. We believe in diversity, not only in nationality, gender, religion and age, but also in artistic background. Constantly seeking those with different beliefs, different methods and different perspectives keeps us working in ways we find inspiring.

Furthermore, we believe the most meaningful forms of expression arise when exploring the possibilities and limitations that creative barriers provide. We constantly try to break free from and redefine any creative barriers - a process that ultimately shapes our art.

For limitations breed creativity, but only as long as they are permeated by innovation.

Collages is the name we use for the format of our art - the result of our collaborative creative efforts. Our contribution to a collage will always be primarily music, while our collaborators work with us to convert our music into Collages. Collages can be compositions, art films, short films, animations, sound performances, exhibits, visual performances, literary works, photography, paintings, digital experiences and culinary art.

X is any artist who agrees with our philosophy of breaking down creative barriers. X can be anything from musicians of all genres to visual artists, producers, photographers, filmmakers, actors, body performers, chefs, writers, poets and architects.

X is so essential to the project REX, it’s been chiseled into our very name. We believe that our collaborations with other artists are the driving force that keeps us honest and continuously pushes us out of our comfort zone.

In our collaborations, we base our creative process on creation, iteration and creative interpretation. In other words, we facilitate a process in which one artist creates a piece of free-form artistic expression, and another artist interprets it within their own art-form.
